You could transplant a knight from Lordran or a hunter from Yharnam into the Ruined Kingdom, and nothing would look out of place. But there's a level of melancholy stylization here that pretty much mirrors the look and feel of the Souls/borne series. Obviously the dark high fantasy genre was a thing before Dark Souls. This is important when considering the number of types for type-amount-dependent dragons such as the Diamond Dragon. Although the Champion type can split into Black and Red for breeding purposes, it still only counts as one type.When the Champion type splits, any minor types within its components can also split.Although the Mythic type can split into Red and Yellow for breeding purposes, it still only counts as one type.In this case, Champion can contribute both itself and its split colors at the same time. There is one exception to this rule, and that is when both parents possess the Champion type. ![]() Thus, the presence of Champion in a pool will either add the Champion type if it does not split or the Black and Red types if it does split. However, if it is split, then Champion is no longer in the pool for the duration.
